Pediatric Dentistry
DR. SHAMEEL KHAN
H.B.SC., D.D.S.
Dr. Khan has a passion for helping children overcome fear and uncertainty to feel enthusiastic towards their dental care. He aims to put anxious children and their families at ease through tailoring care to the unique nature of each child. Dr. Khan is a strong proponent of ethical, conservative and preventative dentistry. He believes any child can and should have an enjoyable experience at the dentist’s office.
Dr. Khan graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. He then earned his dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Upon graduating, Dr. Khan was the recipient of several prestigious academic and service-oriented awards including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Student Award. Following dental school, Dr. Khan completed his specialty training at the University of Toledo Medical Center, earning his specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry and a Masters Degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Khan has trained at multiple hospitals and obtained extensive experience in treating children with various medical and psychological needs.
Outside of work, he enjoys travelling and spending time with his family. Growing up in Ontario, Dr. Khan has always loved exploring the natural wonders of the province, and is open to new suggestions! Dr. Khan is also a dedicated fan of the Toronto Raptors!
General Dentistry
DR. HESHAM SHERGHIN
H.B.SC., D.D.S., A.E.G.D.
Dr. Hesham Sherghin received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2011, where he was named to the Dean’s List. He then completed a yearlong Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at St. Johns Providence Health System in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Sherghin was the class Vice-President and served as an active member of several societies and organizations. He was the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions including the Most Cooperative Student Award, and Pre-Doctoral Achievement Award-International Congress of Oral Implantology as well as other academic awards and scholarships.
Dr. Sherghin is an active member of several study clubs in the London area, the RCDSO, The ODA, and CDA. Although he is very busy he always finds time to support his community by sponsoring some of his young patients and their youth sports’ teams. He also enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and looking for ways to further educate himself so he can provide the best possible care for his patients.
